Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News
Skydance Paramount will begin mass layoffs the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 US jobs as part of a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are expected, as the firm planning to announce full details during its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates suggested the company aimed to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 positions before the start of November.
By December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.
The organization has not provided a response regarding the report.
